Candle Care

The First Burn:

  • The first burn is the most important burn, Please allow your candle to create a full melt pool that reaches all sides of the candle before extinguishing. Not doing so will cause tunneling. You will achieve this by allowing your candle to burn for at least 2-4 hours on the first burn.

Subsequent Burns:

  • To ensure an even burn throughout the lifetime of the candle always allow the melting pool to touch all sides of the candle
  • Do not leave the candle burning for more than 3-4 hours a time

Trim Your Wicks:

  • For best burn time Trim your wicks to 1/4" before every burn and your candle will not burn quickly.
Fragrance Performance:
If your candle is not releasing a strong fragrance:
  • Move your candle to another location to avoid drafts from vents or fans
  • Single wick candles are meant to be used in smaller rooms to enhance fragrance performance. Double or triple wick candles work best in larger rooms.

Tunneling:

  • Tunneling is more apparent in the initial burn of the candle. Please burn your candle 2-3 times and make sure each burn time is in increments of 3-4 hours to allow wax to pool around the edges of the candle.
  • If tunneling is still apparent, proceed to burn in 3-4 increments until candle self-corrects.

Wick Issues or Self-Extinguishing Flame:

  • If flame is self-extinguishing, please wait until wick is cool then remove the burnt wood and then relight.
